OUR STORY

In 2009, Iain Rowley from Delta Motorsport and Stoke Row Racing Club members discussed hosting a village event with a motorsport theme at Vanalloys Business Park in Stoke Row, Oxfordshire. This conversation led to the creation of the Stoke Row Racing Car Show, which aimed to raise funds for charitable causes.

The proceeds from the inaugural show were used to produce a neonatal dialysis machine designed by one of the tenants on the site, which has since saved the lives of many babies who were too small to receive conventional dialysis.

The event occurred in 2010 and 2011, with the former being more extensive. The excellent weather during these two years attracted more attractions and spectators. However, the show faced adverse weather conditions in 2011 and 2012. It experienced a resurgence in 2013 with the return of sunny weather, which helped it surpass the £20,000 mark in donations.

From there, the event has become well-established and much looked forward to every year.

There were no shows in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, which affected everyone, but fortunately, The Maharajah's Tour was able to take place in both those years.

The show has raised money for various charitable causes, including Neonatal Dialysis Machines, Berkshire Air Ambulance, Newcastle Healthcare, Headway Thames Valley, Stoke Row School Minibus, Stoke Row School Sensory Garden, Bishopswood Special School Minibus, Stoke Row Village Hall Refurbishment Fund, and Robbie the Robot (RBH Kidney Unit).

In 2014, the show relocated to a more spacious venue in Nuffield, just 2 miles from the previous site. It has allowed for much more space for all the activities and catering arrangements and has ample parking.
